About this site;
At the age of 60 something, supposedly retired and now a grandfather, I thought I should put down some sort of record of my life, straight from the horses mouth.
I have always regretted not recording words from my grandparents before they passed away. They had lead such interesting lives, all very different to each other, all special in many ways. What I have to say in these pages pales by comparison, but you never know, one day, someone might be interested enough to have a read.

I've divided the site up into various pages.
One tells about early days in Wagga. Another, everything from my entry into the RAN right to the end including my time at the Australian War Memorial. A separate page gives an outline on my employment at the Australian National Gallery and another, "MG99", tells about how my shipmates and I saved a boatload of desperate Vietnamese Refugees in 1981.
I've included a section with separate pages that cover the history of we Patterson's in Australia and my mothers McEachern family history, too.
The last section is a complete indulgence. Its about a passion I've always had, cars.
